You need enough space to record the next jump.
First things first:
When you start using the system - or when you come back from a skydiving holiday
Please wipe your card!
Otherwise, you run the risk that FreeFallFilms will try to import your last 100 cool skydives and your hours of party footage!
This slows things down and fills up disk space.
You are responsible for ensuring that there is enough space on your card for the next jump.
Typically, a jump is 2-3gb, so a 64gb card should handle 20+ jumps.
But: if you leave the camera running, or use high resolution or framerates, you can quickly fill it up.
After FreeFallFilms imports the files from your card, it will store that the files have been imported.
This means that you can keep using the card, and recording more jumps.
When you re-insert your card, only the new files will be imported.
Typically - this means you can run for a day, and keep all your jumps on the card.
At the end of the day - you can review, and wipe your card. Plus - you have the confidence that you still have the original files if something happens.
However: It is your responsibility to ensure that the card does not get too full!
Some dropzones choose to set the edit app to automatically wipe the card after import.
(This is typically where filmers are sharing cards.)
If this option is turned on - then your card will be wiped after import.
Check with the 'super-user' at your dropzone whether this is in play.
